About Us

Why Elevety Exists

Elevety is a small independent publication about the gadgets and habits that go with moving under your own power. It is written for people who run, ride and wear a watch or band to keep track of it, and who would like plain answers before they spend money or change a routine.

The three subjects

Articles fall into wearable tech, running and cycling. The areas feed one another: a watch is only useful if its numbers match how you actually train, and a training plan means little if the shoes or the bike do not fit the person using them.

  • Wearable Tech looks at fitness watches, bands, heart rate sensors, battery life, GPS behaviour and what the data on your wrist can and cannot tell you.
  • Running covers shoes, gradual progression, route planning, pacing and the habits that keep a new runner going through a wet winter.
  • Cycling deals with commuting and weekend riding, bike fit, lights, basic maintenance and the accessories worth having.

How we work

Advice here is meant to be used on your next outing. Statements are checked against manufacturer documentation, published sports science and established coaching guidance, and product comments rest on specifications and stated use rather than hype. When sensors disagree or the evidence is mixed, the article says that openly.

Firmware updates, new models and changed settings can make a good guide stale. Pages are revisited and revised when details stop being true.

Who reads Elevety

Readers include first-time jogging beginners, commuters who just bought a bike, and experienced athletes curious about one feature of a new device. Nothing assumes elite goals or a large budget.
